Stepping Stones are the earliest-opening daycare centers in Seattle-Tacoma, with our Tacoma preschool campus welcoming welcoming little ones as early as 7:00AM. We understand that you work hard. We got you covered!

Child-Parent-Teacher

Begin: Ages 1 - 2

Between 12 and 24 months, children are gaining control of their bodies while building the foundations of curiosity, hands-on exploration, and independance. We cultivate a safe environment for children to walk steadily, climb safely, carry, and manipulate objects such as simple puzzles, toys and educational materials.

Nurture: Ages 2 - 4

This is the period of time where toddlers experience exponential growth, brain development and personality-related preferences. Our dedicated, caring educators engage the eager minds hungry for knowledge and exploration with sensory work, language, art, and simple mathematics to build a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Prepare: Ages 4 - 6

At this age, children are brimming with confidence. They communicate complex ideas and preferences clearly, insist on independent exploration, and engage with the environment on their terms. Our program strengthens reading, writing, basic math, art and creativity to prepare children for Kindergarden and Grade School while fostering natural curiosity.

Stepping Stones is a safe haven for kids to explore play and learn. I was so happy to find this gem for my child. The owners and the teachers are truly amazing and compassionate. As someone who has a hard time dropping my child off anywhere, I felt safe and secure to take my daughter here. My child had been at one daycare in the past, where I learned they were mostly inside all day. This daycare stands apart from all the rest because they have an immense area to roam and play safely, which is huge to my nature loving kid. The teachers all have their heart in being with the kids which means a lot to me, they go above and beyond to make sure the kids are having fun all the while being creative and growing their minds.

My daughter is very particular with her environment and she adapted right away and felt like she was at home. My mother who owned her own daycare in Issaquah for 17years and also worked at Clyde hill preschool and retired as the director is amazed with stepping stones and their dedication and passion. The staff is amazing and consistent and treats my daughter like their own. The activities and structure is unbelievable. My daughter gets so much exposure to live animals like pony rides and touch live snakes and pets like a 70lbs giant turtle during summer events. My daughter has a rare syndrome and is delayed but since she’s been at stepping stones she is hitting all her goals and Seattle childrens is amazed with the amount of exposure she gets throughout the day at her daycare. The teachers consistently help her growth and take time for my daughter. I don’t want her to ever leave this school.
