Dharitri Desai, affectionately known as “Miss Dee,” is Co-Founder & Co-Director of Stepping Stone Kids Academy. She holds a Master’s Degree in chemistry from India, where she graduated at the top of her university class and earned a gold medal. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Early Childhood Education from India and a State Certificate in Early Childhood Education from the United States.

With nearly two decades of experience in early childhood education, Dharitri has supported children and families in a variety of roles. She began as a Lead Teacher in toddler and early preschool classrooms before running her own family childcare program. She later partnered with Latika Taneja to establish Stepping Stone Kids Academy. Together, they have grown the academy from the very first preschool to four thriving locations in just six years.

Dharitri’s greatest joy is serving families and helping create safe, nurturing, and joyful environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive. As a leader, she works closely with the academy’s dedicated staff to build a strong sense of community—one where children feel loved and supported, families feel valued and welcomed, and each school feels like a home away from home.

Outside of work, Dharitri enjoys reading mystery and thriller novels, traveling, and cooking. Most of all, she loves sharing delicious food with friends and family.
